One example of a printed ventilated facade made of quartz frits is St. Sarkis Armenian Orthodox Church in Carrolton, Texas, where the facade was covered with porcelain panels imitating quartz frits. These panels are decorated with a million ornaments, which emphasize the unique, hand-made character of the building, referring to the rich culture of Armenia. Fiandre, an Italian company known for producing high-quality quartz sintered products, offers a wide range of facade products that combine aesthetics with functionality. They are the perfect choice for modern buildings, both in terms of strength and design. Here are some of the most important features of their facade products:

1. Technical Porcelain Sheets
Fiandre specializes in the production of large-format porcelain sheets with exceptional resistance to atmospheric agents. These products are extremely durable, resistant to changing weather conditions, UV radiation and mechanical damage. This makes them ideal for external facades that must be both functional and aesthetic.

2. Ventilated Facade Systems
Fiandre offers ventilated facade systems that increase the energy efficiency of a building while protecting its structure. These systems allow for improved thermal insulation and provide protection against moisture. Thanks to sintered quartz, these systems can be not only practical, but also very elegant, with a wide choice of colors and textures.

3. Collections Imitating Natural Materials
Fiandre offers slabs imitating natural stones such as marble, granite or sandstone, allowing you to create a luxurious façade without having to use heavier and less resistant to external conditions materials. For example, the Marmi Maximum collection offers elegant marble-inspired finishes, which are available in various shades and structures.

4. Environmentally Responsible Products
Fiandre also pays attention to sustainable development. Many of their products have ecological certificates such as LEED, making them a suitable choice for pro-ecological buildings. Fiandre products are also manufactured with the aim of minimizing CO2 emissions and using recycled materials.

5. Highly Resistant Finishes
Fiandre products for façades are characterized by high resistance to abrasion, scratches and stains. They are also fire resistant, making them a safe choice for outdoor applications.

05/10/2022 – A custom-designed ceramic facade by Fiandre Architectural Surfaces adorns the new Saint Sarkis Armenian Church in Carrollton, Texas, designed by award-winning New York architect David Hotson, AIA.

The new church building is modeled after the ancient Armenian temple of Saint Hripsime, which still stands near the modern-day Armenian capital of Yerevan. The new structure’s connection to this ancient prototype symbolizes Armenia’s heritage as the first Christian nation in the world to adopt Christianity in 301 A.D., and reflects the faith and perseverance of the Armenians through 14 centuries of challenge and turmoil.
