The board is also widely used as a carrier for sheet metal or wooden cladding. Powerpanel H2O board is made of lightweight concrete reinforced with mesh. Thanks to the use of mineral components, the manufacturer Fermacell has obtained a product resistant to alkalis and fire resistance according to class A1. Fermacell Powerpanel H2O cement-fibre boards are non-flammable.

  • If we do not cover the Powerpanel H2O board surface with external plaster, we must remember to use them in places protected from direct exposure to weather conditions.
  • The boards can be covered with facade paint in the protected areas and left as the final finish of the facade surface.
  • When the entire surface of the Powerpanel H2O cement-fibre board facade is filled, the facade can be used as the final finish. The system consists of Fermacell HD lightweight mortar, Fermacell HD reinforcing fabric, Fermacell HD reinforcing glue, reinforcing tape on the joints of Fermacell HD boards.

Profiles made of aluminum have natural anti-corrosion resistance and are completely resistant to the weather conditions that prevail in the facade system ventilated. The lower weight of the profiles means that heavier facade claddings can be installed on the same facade. We value the aluminum supporting structure for ventilated facades because it is faster to install and all elements are straight and even. During the design, the thermal expansion of the structure should be taken into account and expansion gaps between the panels should be maintained so that excessive stresses do not occur on the facade panels. Too much stress transferred to the panel causes deformation of the panels and even cracks of the facade panels. An additional expansion role is played by the supporting structure in which the supporting profile is attached to the wall with anchors. There can only be one anchor along the entire length of the supporting profile, which is called a permanent anchor and creates a permanent mounting point for the structure. The permanent anchor can occur in the middle, top or bottom part of the supporting profile. The remaining anchors of the supporting structure under the facade cladding are fastened movably, so that they do not constitute a restriction for the thermal expansion of the main profile. Considering the operation of the aluminum substructure, it should be remembered that the profiles should always be joined where the facade panel is joined. The connection of profiles falling under the panel in the event of blocking the compensation possibilities on the structure will make the panel vulnerable to destruction. Note: the maximum distance between the vertical structure is 625 mm! Strips exposed to wind suction are assessed according to the applicable PN and EN standards.
