Fibre c – thin-layer reinforced concrete
Thin-layer concrete reinforced with glass fiber Fiber C

Thin-layer concrete slabs fibre c – a modern combination of concrete and glass fibre enabling the formation of thin-layer slabs of enormous dimensions, blocks of various shapes, dimensions and colours. It is a tool that realises the most avant-garde visions of designers both in the creation of blocks, building elevations and individual interiors.
Fibre C facade panels are boards with dimensions of 1200 x 3600 mm (maximum 5000 mm) and thickness of 8 and 13 mm. In the basic palette, the manufacturer offers 10 colors in 3 different textures: sandblasted-ferro, slightly sandblasted-ferro light, smooth-matt. It is possible to obtain a color prepared exclusively for your investment and shapes bent individually for each project. In addition, the boards can be used for floors, kitchen countertops, washbasins – they can be exposed to direct action of water and detergents. The boards have been classified as non-flammable, weather-resistant claddings ready for use as a finish for public utility buildings, multi-family buildings, and private homes.

Fibre C is a glass fibre reinforced concrete panel that combines the advantages of concrete and glass fibre. It is hard, flexible, durable and also fascinating because it is thin-walled, has fire protection class A and is characterised by its low volumetric weight. High-quality natural raw materials made of purely mineral components and basic materials form the basis for the highest quality and authenticity. To achieve a uniform appearance, fibreC panels are coloured over the entire cross-section. The use of high-quality raw materials made of purely mineral components and glass fibre enables fibreC to achieve the best possible quality. In full accordance with our living ecological awareness, the proportion of recycled materials in aggregates and binders is constantly increasing. fibreC surfaces have the appearance of organic structures (see DBV 2006 Facade Concrete standard). Since fibreC, unlike most commonly used comparable products on the market, is based on purely organic base materials, the material is completely recyclable. Everything remains purely natural. Although small depressions, unevenness, stress lines or inclusions may be visible, they do not detract from the unique appearance of glass fibre reinforced concrete. Quite the opposite. These characteristic features of concrete distinguish it from smooth, artificial surfaces. They give the fibreC board an individual design character and are permanently in line with the spirit of the era – which testifies to the uniqueness and durability of this material.
Fiber C Material Specifications
The fibreC Group attaches great importance not only to the durability of its products, but also to the satisfaction of its customers. Here, contractors are just as important a link in the entire network as architects, technicians and those responsible for developing new products and solutions. If all the circumstances and framework conditions of a project can be clarified already at the preparation stage, the better the product can be delivered to the customer later on. The basis for an optimal project implementation and satisfactory results is complete clarity regarding the order. Therefore, the fibreC team considers it particularly important to maintain close contact with the customer and, above all, to be able to clarify – even before the project starts – all the details regarding the application, format, approval of colour samples, surface quality, coating, etc.
Colours of Fibre C concrete facade panels.
In principle, the design possibilities with fibreC know no limits. Ten standard colours are generally available, and special colours are also available on request. Special colours are defined and agreed individually with each customer according to their requirements. We strictly adhere to our internal quality guidelines and colour standards , which are checked continuously during the production process and before the product is shipped, so that our own high requirements and those of our customers are met. The technology using iron reds is in line with our principle of sustainable production. The authentic fibreC colours blend well into the existing landscape and correspond to nature and the surroundings. Characteristic of fibreC are lively surfaces with a variable play of shades and textures, such as a delicate cloud or streak effect instead of lifeless and clinical surfaces.
Concrete slab surfaces.
fibreC boards with different structures are available. You can choose from Ferro – sandblasted, Ferro light – lightly sandblasted and Matt – smooth. Other surfaces are possible on request. Thanks to three different finishing textures, it is possible to make patterns on the surface of the boards, inscriptions, images, made as sandblasted on a smooth board and vice versa.
FibreC panels are characterised by lively surfaces with a variable play of shades and subtle cloud effects instead of lifeless, clinical surfaces. fibreC surfaces correspond to the appearance of organic structures and possibly show slight disturbances, depressions, stress lines, efflorescence or inclusions and textures (DBV 2006 Exterior Concrete standard). Calcium hydroxide, for example, precipitates from every cement during its hardening. Calcium hydroxide dissolves in water and can migrate towards the concrete surface. When the water evaporates, the calcium hydroxide remains on the surface and transforms into calcium carbonate (limestone), which is difficult to dissolve. If this process, which is natural in itself, is intensified by the effects of unfavourable conditions, then larger amounts of calcium carbonate will build up and become visible as a white coating. However, these efflorescences are a completely natural phenomenon in cement-bonded composite materials. However, these efflorescences must be seen for what they really are: they are a sign of life for a product made from natural raw materials. These so-called efflorescences only occur when glass fibre reinforced concrete slabs are stored in an unfavourable manner in a humid environment (accumulated water).
Dimensions of Fibre C facade panels.
Flat facade panels are available in two standard dimensions: 1200x2500mm and 1200x3600mm and in two thicknesses: 8 and 13mm. However, it is possible to order panels up to 5000mm in size.
Individual projects
Fibre C panels offer the possibility of making individual forms of panels, taking into account shapes, colours and textures. Bent elements of small architecture, corner shapes, stair treads and other forms according to individual projects are possible. This possibility is eagerly used by architects who design new building shapes, which until now were only a vision impossible to implement. The leading designer of our times, Zaha Hadid, completed the Zaragoza Bridge project – in Spain, using the individual character of the fibre C panel. 11,000m2 of 13mm fibre C panels are used in two colours: grey and white, to cover the surface of the bridge, inside which there are exhibition halls of the Expo 2008 exhibition.
Thanks to the rich individual offer, fibre C panels personify buildings with their designer, realize visions of modern architectural surroundings, build interiors, furniture of the 21st century. Fibre C is perfect for making floors, walls, shower cabins, kitchen countertops, stairs, or even tables, seats.
Surface protection of facade panels.
In order to protect the fibreC board from the effects of weather conditions, it is covered with a transparent, hydrophobic layer of impregnating material. Surface protection systems for vertical use: – active substance content between 20 and 100% without barrier effect – without the possibility of measuring the layer thickness – resistance to water vapour „< 4 m”- resistance to carbon dioxide „> 50 m”- hydrophobic The hydrophobic layer is open to diffusion and provides solid, basic protection against weather conditions, dust, dirt and environmental conditions. However, it does not protect against scratches and stains caused by standing liquids, oil, acids, strongly alkaline substances, etc. To obtain reinforced protection of the panels and to prevent extreme environmental influences and damage caused by heavy rainfall, the hydrophobic layer can be reapplied. The hydrophobic layer in a matt version allows the naturalness of the material to be fully emphasised. The gloss level of the hydrophobic impregnation has a significant optical effect on the perception of colour; the diffusivity of the board is also maintained.
