The SikaTack®-Panel material set is an economical adhesive fastening system for panels in ventilated facades, enabling fastening without the use of mechanical anchoring. The system consists of the SikaTack®-Panel elastic adhesive, the SikaTack®-Panel double-sided fastening and spacer tape and auxiliary materials. The SikaTack®-Panel system enables invisible and non-invasive connection of the facade panel to the substrate.

Limitations
The long-term strength is ensured by the SikaTack-Panel adhesive. The mechanical strength of the SikaTack-Panel tape should not be included in the calculation. The SikaTack-Panel tape should be used over the entire length of the panel-to-substrate connection.

System Information
System structure
Aluminium substrate The substrate must be approved by the relevant inspection institutions (L, T, H shapes or equivalent). The material must contain at least AIMgSi alloy 0.5 F 22 according to DIN 1748-1.Wooden substrate Perpendicular spruce or pine battens, flat, smooth, with a maximum moisture content of < 14% according to DIN 1052. The bonding surface must be clean, free of any coatings and dust. The gaps between the battens must be at least 1 cm.Design and dimensions The dimensions of the perpendicular surface depend on the façade construction. The gaps between the substrate battens and their width depend on the type of panel and the required loads. Each project requires individual solutions and a description of the details. Examples Required width of substrate strips for the SikaTack®-Panel fastening system. System structureThe facade panel must be connected along its entire height. Calculation of maximum values due to permissible load:- Adhesive width: 10 mm- Tensile strength: 0.15 MPa- Shear strength: 0.12 MPa (permissible reduction factor S = 1.0) Working jointsIn order to design and dimension the system correctly, and to ensure a proper vertical connection on an aluminium or wooden substrate, all standard building regulations and provisions for façade works must be taken into account. In order to ensure optimum fastening of the façade panels, all vertical aluminium or wooden battens must be uniform, even and parallel. Gaps and joints in the substrate must not be connected by fasteners. Adequate gaps must be maintained between the panels to allow for movement due to thermal expansion of the material. The linear thermal expansion of the panels and the substrate must be taken into account. In order to ensure adequate ventilation of the entire façade system, adequately sized ventilation openings must be included at the top and bottom of the façade. Note: The design solutions must take into account all details and detailed descriptions of the SikaTack-Panel system.
